Industrial Accidents and Structural Failure Animations
We've created animations and visuals to illustrate a wide variety of industrial, construction and structural accidents. Animations can show the overall layout of a plant, demonstrate a failure mechanism or illustrate an injury. For complex structures with many components, we recommend printing labeled illustration on large boards so jurors can refer to them during testimony. The three dimensional computer models can be used with a 3d printer to create a physical scale model for experts and attorneys to reference as needed. Below are samples of several structural and industrial animations from our YouTube channel. Additional samples are available upon request.
Petroleum Plant Explosion
A pressure vessel at a petroleum plant exploded. The support structures that the defendant fabricated and installed were not related to the explosion. Animation was used in opening arguments. A 3d scale model was also created from the file and used throughout the proceedings. |
Roof Failure on Concrete Silo
Modifications to a concrete silo weakened the structure of the roof and increased the load it had to bear. The roof collapsed while a worker was on it. |
Stair Collapse
A stair was properly installed by a contractor and was used for several months. When the kick plate was removed it collapsed. Animation shows components of the stairs and then demonstrates the failure of the structure. |
