Bobby Mayer, Jr. is the firm's president and chief consultant. He began his professional career in 1982 as a graphic designer and photographer in Arizona. He photographed motor vehicle accidents, aircraft crashes and criminal incidents, then prepared presentation graphics for the US Air Force, USAF Judge Advocate General, USAF Office of Special Investigations (OSI), US Navy, the Pentagon and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Mr. Mayer relocated to Tallahassee in 1990, where he worked for an internationally recognized, full-service consulting and forensic engineering firm. As the Technical Department Manager, he directed the preparation of legal graphics and animations on hundreds of cases advising the engineers and firm's clients as to the best visual strategy to illustrate and simplify the case facts in court.
He established Image Studio in 1998. The firm has consulted with expert witnesses and attorneys on civil cases involving motor vehicle crashes, product design, roadway and bridge construction, waste management, industrial accidents and electrocutions, and in criminal matters involving shootings, excessive force, and DUI manslaughter. Mr. Mayer has been qualified as a expert in the fields of forensic animation, photogrammetry, scientific visualization and video editing in civil and criminal courts.
